Chrysler Crossfire There's no denying you've always wanted a Chrysler Crossfire. Especially since it packs a 160kW 3.2L V6, Electronic Stability Program, All Speed Traction Control, ABS brakes and four air bags.
The long ribbed bonnet, hunkered-down roof line and sweeping rear pillars, leading to the distinctive boat tail and the massive, sculptured rear wings are all retained from the original Crossfire concept vehicle, as is the unique body side crossover line (which gives rise to the name). It starts as a concave, indented crease behind the front wheel arch and crosses over the car’s flanks – ‘crossing’ to a convex crease mid-door – then sweeps back to highlight the edge of the rear wings and delineate the tail lamp clusters. The central spine running from front bumper, via grille, bonnet, roofline, tailgate, into the rear bumper – is a primary vehicle signature. Uncompromising yet refined, Crossfire Roadster makes the perfect match for the Crossfire Coupe. Even with the integration of the powered fabric soft top, Roadster maintains Crossfire’s distinctive lines and dynamic proportions. Crossfire Roadster is stunning, a real head turner. In soft top mode, Crossfire's distinctive personality stimulates the adrenaline. The power folding fabric soft top stows beneath a hard tonneau panel, which in turn blends seamlessly with Crossfire's sleek lines.
Look no further. The supercharged 3.2L V6 Chrysler Coupe SRT6 and Crossfire Roadster SRT6 are now available in Australia's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) line-up. Sporting tougher looks, class-leading performance, and an individual feel, Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 will not disappoints.
Deeply sculpted, simulated air-extractor louvres behind the front wheel arches hint at a powerful engine and have race car references. The large wheels and wide tyres dominate the profile, while the deep body and shallow glasshouse give the car a distinctive presence on the road – even when the Crossfire’s parked. Crossfire Roadster retains all the stunning design elements of the Coupe version, but comes with added freedom. The driver simply has to pull down the centre-mounted handle on the windscreen header and turn the handle – which releases the convertible fabric top and lowers the side windows. Press the button on the centre console, and the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster’s fully automatic powered roof system then takes control, opening the hard tonneau cover, folding away the fabric top, and closing the tonneau cover. When the top is down, no trace of the fabric top remains and the car has a super-clean, attractive elegance. Character by design Chrysler Crossfire is a low-slung, two seater designed to give the driver that special feeling of being inside the cockpit of something very sporty, serious and protective. Command performance Whether your preference is for the Coupe or Roadster, Crossfire demonstrates exceptional road holding ability. Both models offer a genuine 240 km/h+ sports car, with acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Braking performance is also solid, with the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster going from 100 to 0 km/h in 38 metres.
